These materials are common because they are cheap to manufacture and soft to the touch. They are not safe for repeated intimate use.

Every product on Serious Pleasure is made from body-safe silicone, ABS plastic, borosilicate glass, or surgical-grade stainless steel. These are non-porous, non-toxic, and can be properly cleaned. We do not stock jelly rubber, TPE, TPR, or PVC products. If a product doesn't meet that standard, it's not listed.

Lovehoney, the UK's largest sexual wellness retailer, stocks tens of thousands of products including many made from TPE and other porous materials.
